With the end of the school year, there is so much anticipation for summer.
However, a few weeks into summer, we have seen trends of immense boredom in our students that quickly sets in after school gets out. While we believe it can be beneficial to be bored sometimes and allow your mind to rest or create, we also wanted to provide a space for our students to connect with other teens their age during the long summer months! So, we are offering a variety of summer programs AND a few hangout days!
Some programs we are offering are:
- Kayaking
- Cedar Point
- Glass Blowing
- Scuba Diving
- Podcasting
- High Caliber
All of our summer programs were intentionally chosen to provide an experience teens may not otherwise get. We understand that finances may be an issue, so we have partnered with local business to give the best rate to our students for these experiences! We are also offering hangout days on the following days:
- July 7th
- July 21st
- August 11th
July 7th + August 11th are afternoons that will be spent at Building Twentyone. If you’ve been a member here before during the school year, it’s basically like a normal open space day. We just wanted to give students the opportunity to hangout in a fun and safe environment during the summer months to connect with their friends, and/or, meet new ones! Come play ping pong, pool, Smash Bros, Fortnite, Uno, and tons more. We will provide free snacks for these days!
July 7th will be our beach day. We will be heading to Hawk Island to enjoy the warm summer day. So, make sure to bring a bathing suit if you plan to swim, and sunscreen. Please note with hangout days – you MUST be a summer member to attend. Don’t worry – it’s free! This will be from 1-5pm with pick up and drop off at Building Twentyone.
