2022 Recap at Building Twentyone

2022 is almost finished, and as we reflect, we find ourselves so thankful for what the past year has brought us.

This past year has brought us a ton of new faces. Our hope is that from the moment you walk through the door, that you feel loved and welcomed into our space. Building Twentyone was created to be a place where you can come after school, relax, unwind, get help if you need it, participate in some fun programs, discover new passions, and grow.

This past year we were able to offer some summer programs throughout the month of June! We recognize that summer can quickly become boring, and that the activities to do are few. So, we did some fun programs and brought in different businesses like Preuss Pets and Total Firearms. We love engaging with different businesses throughout the community and we are so thankful for their generosity in giving of their time to help put on awesome programs for our students! Keep an eye out for this summer’s programs!

This past year, we also began a new monthly event called Friday Night Live! These events take place on the second Friday night of each month. Each month we bring something new to the table! Our first ever Friday Night Live took place in June where we celebrated the end of the year with laser tag, karaoke, and more! We have also had a trivia night, Kahoot night, 4-man joust, field day, Christmas party, and our upcoming event in January will be a Nerf war! These events are great for students who cannot attend Building Twentyone after school. If you have not been to Building Twentyone before, this is also a great night to grab a friend or two, and hangout in our space and get to know our staff and students! It is also great for our members as they get free items at every event with their membership ID!

We also hosted two fundraisers-Comedy for a Cause and our Tailgate Fundraiser. Both were such great fundraisers and we wanted to give a SHOUTOUT to our generous donors! Thank you to those that give weekly, monthly, yearly, and at our fundraisers. We believe what we do is essential and life-transforming and we thank you for believing in our mission and for listening to our hearts! We are more thankful than our words could ever express!
